Product Introduction

The reaction of 3,4-diethoxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione (diethyl squarate) with glycoamines (formed by reducing oligosaccharides) has been studied. The resulting derivatives are linked to amino functionalized lipids, solids or proteins.


Application

3,4-diethoxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of furanone and quinone. It is substituted by the ethoxyl group of amine and unsaturated organosilane.
