Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is a biochemical method that uses antibodies in combination with specific antigens in a slice for detection. Immunocytochemistry (ICC) is suitable for identifying antigens in individual cell layers. Ihcs are often used to visualize target proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids in diseased tissues such as healthy and tumor tissues. This method uses specific molecular markers to identify cell events such as proliferation or cell death (apoptosis). IHC is also widely used in basic research to explore the distribution and location of biomarkers and differentially expressed proteins in different parts of biological tissue.
