Retinoid X receptors

Retinoid X receptors (RXRs) are a type of nuclear receptor that function as transcription factors and play important roles in the regulation of various physiological processes, including lipid metabolism, glucose homeostasis, and immune function. There are three types of RXRs: RXR-alpha, RXR-beta, and RXR-gamma, encoded by the RXRA, RXRB, and RXRG genes, respectively.
