Protein Electrophoresis & Western Blotting

Protein blotting is a common experimental method used in molecular biology, biochemistry and immunogenetics. The basic principle is to colour a gel electrophoresis-treated cell or biological tissue sample with a specific antibody. Information on the expression of a specific protein in the cell or tissue being analysed is obtained by analysing the position and depth of the colouring.
