Proteolysis & Ubiquitin

Protein hydrolysis refers to the hydrolysis process of protein under the catalysis of hydrolase. Ubiquitin is a kind of small molecular protein widely existing in eukaryotic cells, with 76 amino acid residues in size. Ubiquitin can be linked with each other through enzymatic reaction, and then mediate the degradation of target protein.
