Swi / Snf

Swi/Snf complexes are ATP-dependent remodelers, meaning they use energy from ATP to move, reposition, or alter the structure of nucleosomes – the basic units of chromatin. By doing so, these complexes can make DNA regions more or less accessible to transcription factors and other regulatory proteins, ultimately influencing gene expression.
