RNA Processing

"RNA processing" refers to the series of modifications and editing steps that occur after a primary RNA transcript is synthesized from a DNA template during a process called transcription. RNA processing is particularly important in eukaryotic cells, where the primary transcript, known as precursor mRNA (pre-mRNA), undergoes various changes to produce the mature messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule.
