"Polymerase-associated factors" refer to a group of proteins that interact with RNA polymerase during the process of transcription. RNA polymerase is the enzyme responsible for synthesizing RNA from a DNA template. Polymerase-associated factors, also known as transcription factors or co-factors, play important roles in regulating and facilitating various stages of transcription.
