F4/80 is a 160 kD cell surface glycoprotein, which is a member of the EGF-TM7 protein family and has 68% overall amino acid identity with mucin-like hormone receptor 1 (EMR1) containing human EGF module. F4/80 is a seven-time transmembrane protein with multiple EGF sequences on the outside of the cell.
