FGF is a polypeptide secreted by pituitary and hypothalamus. There are acidic (pI 5.6) and alkaline (pI 9.6). It can promote the mitosis of fibroblasts, the growth of mesoderm cells, and also stimulate angiogenesis, playing a role in wound healing and limb regeneration.
