Medium butyryl level—Solubility and compatibility with resins and plasticizers
High butyryl level—Reduced dry-to-touch time and reduced cratering. for cross-linked finishes
High hydroxyl levels—Alcohol solubility, for curing finishes
Low molecular weight (low viscosity)—Additives/reactive intermediates, or curing finishes
