Product Description

δ12-PGJ2 (δ12-Prostaglandin J2) is a decomposition product of PGD2 that has shown potent antiviral and anit-proliferative activity. This compound has also been shown to induce apoptosis, and to inhibit phosphoinositide turnover. Conjugation with glutathione is thought to enhance the cytotoxicity of δ12-PGJ2. Similar to other prostaglandins, it is often difficult to distinguish between biological activities derived directly from ′parent′ molecules and those derived from metabolites thereof.
