Handling Method for Possible Abnormalities of D101 Macroporous Resin in Use

D101 macroporous resin is a synthetic macromolecular macroporous adsorbent, which is characterized by its adsorption and desorption to achieve the purpose of material separation and purification. It is similar to but different from natural adsorbents such as activated carbon, alumina and silica gel. It is characterized by easy regeneration, reusable, controllable aperture, etc.

Pretreatment of D101 macroporous resin before use: add ethanol or methanol 10 cm above the resin layer into the resin column and soak it for 4-6 hours (if the resin has no water loss, this step can be omitted), discharge the immersion solution, and continue rinsing with ethanol or methanol until the washing solution is diluted with water in the test tube and clear, or use ultraviolet and gas detection methods to detect that the requirements for use are met. Then wash with water until the effluent is free of ethanol or methanol. After the resin is packed into the column, the countercurrent perfusion method can be used to exhaust the gas in the resin, otherwise the adsorption effect will be affected due to gas resistance during use. At the same time, keep the liquid level in use to prevent air from entering.

Handling methods for possible abnormalities of D101 macroporous resin during use:

Mechanical impurities shall be prevented from entering the resin during the whole use process, and complex stock solution shall be strictly filtered.

The water content of the resin is about 70%, and it needs to be stored at room temperature to prevent the sphere from cracking and damaging the strength due to freezing due to water content in winter.

The resin shall be stored in a wet state. If some pellets are exposed to air and lose water, they can be soaked with ethanol or acetone and then used.

If the use is interrupted and the downtime is long, the resin must be cleaned and stored, and the water must be changed regularly to prevent bacterial and organic pollution. It can also be soaked in saturated salt water or ethanol solution for long-term storage.
