Sandra Forbes

Neodymium, denoted by the symbol Nd and possessing an atomic number of 60, classifies as a chemical element. As the fourth entity within the lanthanide sequence, it is categorized among the rare-earth metals. Characterized by its hardness and slight malleability, this silvery metal undergoes rapid tarnishing when exposed to air and moisture. Upon oxidation, neodymium promptly reacts, forming pink, purple/blue, and yellow compounds in its +2, +3, and +4 oxidation states, respectively. Its spectral complexity is widely acknowledged as among the most intricate among( elements.
