    Basic Description

Product NameFolin & Ciocalteu's Phenol Reagent
    Product Description

    Precautions

When the color of this reagent turns from yellow to green due to being opened for too long, add a few drops of liquid bromine and boil slightly to restore the reagent to its original colour before use.Phenols, citric acid and thiol compounds in test samples may interfere with the reduction reaction of this reagent. The Folin & Ciocalteu's Phenol is only stable under acidic conditions, but the phosphomolybdate-phosphotungstate reduction reaction is at pH10. Therefore, after adding the Folin & Ciocalteu's Phenol Reagent, the reaction must be mixed immediately to prevent the phosphomolybdate-phosphotungstate from being destroyed. The Lowry method can be affected by tyrosine and tryptophan content in test samples, resulting in a standard curve that is not strictly linear. This product is corrosive. Please avoid direct contact with human body or corrosion of other items. This product is for R&D only. Not for drug, household, or other uses. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.
