Application

The iodide and bromide based alkylated halides find applications as precursors for fabrication of perovskites for photovoltaic applications. Guanidinium iodide (GI) belongs to the class of guanidinium salts that crystallize in polar symmetry. It can be used as a passivating material for enhancing the grain boundaries and improving the open-circuit voltage. It can further be used in the fabrication of polymeric solar cells (PSCs).
