Niobium carbide is a typical transition metal carbide of purple-gray powder and NaCl-type cubic crystal. It has high melting point (3500°C), high hardness, good electrical conductivity and thermal shock resistance, good chemical corrosion resistance, high oxidation resistance, and certain catalytic performance.
