Product Description

aladdin Mycoplasma Removal Reagent can be used to inhibit or eliminate mycoplasma that is commonly present in cell cultures. It not only eliminates mycoplasma that already exists in cells, but also prevents mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures. This reagent can effectively inhibit and remove a variety of mycoplasma, such as Mycoplasma orale, M. arginini, M. hyorhinis and Acholeplasma laidlawii. This reagent contains a natural antibiotic that works at low concentrations, which is intoxicant to cells. Similar to penicillin and streptomycin commonly used in cell cultures, it does not interfere with various assays of cells. This reagent is convenient to use. Mycoplasma in cell culture medium can be effectively inhibited or removed one week after the supplement of this reagent. The cost of this reagent is negligible compared to the cost of culture medium or serum. This product is a light yellow powder, soluble in water with a solubility of about 15mg/ml.A working concentration of 0.01-0.5µg/ml is generally used for prevention of mycoplasma and 0.5-250µg/ml for elimination. The most commonly used concentration is 1-50µg/ml for elimination. The appropriate working concentration is dependent on the species of mycoplasma. Therefore, it is necessary to find an appropriate working concentration for your specific usage.

Precautions

PrecautionsPrecautions to avoid inhalation or direct contact with skin. This reagent can effectively inhibit or eliminate many types of mycoplasma, but there is no guarantee that they will inhibit or eliminate any type of mycoplasma encountered during the laboratory operations. For long-term storage, store at -80℃.2.Prevention or inhibition of mycoplasma:Add appropriate amount of removal reagent prepared in step 1 into cell culture to a final concentration of 0.01-0.5µg/ ml. 0.2µg/ml or 0.5µg/ ml is generally used, which can effectively prevent mycoplasma contamination or inhibit mycoplasma proliferation in liquid culture. 3.Elimination of mycoplasma:To eliminate mycoplasma, add removal reagent prepared in step 1 into cell culture to a final concentration of 0.5-250µg/ml. We recommend to use 25, 50, 100 or 250µg/ml. One week after, if mycoplasma is still detectable, increase the concentration of removal reagent in cell cuture or use Removal Reagent Plus .Related Products Cat.
