Application

Support material for an integrated system which used solar energy to drive chemical reactions. Acts as a superacid catalyst for organic synthesis. When formed as metal composites, can be used as artificial muscle actuators, solid electrolytes for the analysis of electroactive species in organic media, or as electrodes in organic electrosynthesis. Nafion ™ perfluorinated resin solution is widely used as an electrolytic material. It can be used in the formation of a composite membrane with metal oxides. The membrane further facilitates the formation of chemically stable proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. It may be coated on mesoporous metallic films to improve the detection and selectivity of biomarkers. It may also form a composite electrode material with graphene for glucose biosensors. Nafion ™ was used to modify membranes in the study of transport phenomena. Nafion ™ solution was used as an electrolyte in studying the catalytic activity of PtIr electrocatalysts. The suspension was also used in the preparation of Aldose dehydrogenase (ALDH) bioanode. It was used in another study as a component of electrolyte in investigation of mechanico-electrochemical failure modes of the Fe interconnects. 3.Flammable liquid
