Product Description

Physcion is an anthraquinone derivative and is available as the active constituent of Chinese medicinal plants such as Rhubarb, Polygonum cuspidatum and Reynoutria multiflora. It exhibits various biological activities such as antitumor, antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant and antihuman cytomegalovirus activity.

Application:

Physcion can be used to study antibiotics, antifungals, bioactive small molecules and cell biology. Physcion has been used in a study to test the cytotoxicity of juglanthraquinone C on human cancer cells. Physcion has also been used in a study that investigated the metabolic regulatory effects of Rheum undulatum in a high-fat diet model
