| Product Description | Ramipril benzyl ester is a protected form of ramipril, which is an inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme. Hydrolysis of the ester group leads to the active compound ramiprilat, which actively inhibits ACE and prevents the catalytic conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, thus causing vasodilation. |
