| Product Description | Aladdin's RPMI 1640 Medium without L-methionine contains 4.5g/L glucose, phenol red, sodium pyruvate, and does not contain L-methionine, L-glutamine, or HEPES. It is mainly used to culture cells for nascent protein synthesis detection. RPMI 1640 Medium without L-methionine is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells.This product is often used in combination with the HPG Protein Synthesis Detection Kit . In general, DMEM or RPMI 1640 medium and serum contain methionine, which will compete with HPG for incorporation and affect the intensity of fluorescence after Click reaction. Therefore, we recommend using this medium or DMEM with High Glucose, without L-methionin .This product contains amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, and other components required for cell culture, but does not contain proteins, lipids, or growth factors.This product is a ready-to-use culture medium, with no need to dissolve, prepare, adjust pH value, or filter.This product has been sterilized by filtration, and is free of bacteria, fungi, mycoplasma, and virus.This product has passed the test of Aladdin's HPG Protein Synthesis Detection Kit.
Precautions： This product should be stored in 4℃ refrigerator away from the inside wall to avoid precipitation. If precipitation occurs, shake the bottle gently at room temperature for a moment, then place it in 4℃ refrigerator overnight or longer. Wait until precipitates disappear before use.Once turbidity, precipitation or other phenomena occurs during the use, the culture medium should be discarded.It is not recommended to add serum into this medium for the detection of nascent protein synthesis.Serum-free culture medium can be customized from . However, it is recommended to have a first test on DMEM High Glucose Medium, without L-Methionine or RPMI 1640 Medium, without L-Methionine .It is recommended to equilibrate this product at room temperature or at 37℃ before use.Do not expose the bottle to air and strong light for a long time after opening to maintain the stability of the culture medium.This product is for R&D only.
