Product Description

Silver nanowires (AgNWs) are 1-D silver based nanostructures which have a diameter of 60 nm and a 10 μm length. They can be synthesized by the reduction of silver nitrate (AgNO 3 ) in presence of silver bromide (AgBr). They may also be prepared by the arc discharge mechanism of immersed silver electrodes.


Application

Silver nanowires are useful in a wide variety of conductive, optical and anti-microbial applications such as touchscreen displays, medical imaging and sterile clothing. AgNWs have excellent electrical, optical and mechanical properties which make them a suitable material for flexible electronics based applications such as solar cells and film heaters.
