Product Description

Sodium Acetate, 1M (NaOAc) may be used in several applications. A formulation with ethanol may be prepared for precipitation of nucleic acids. Often used in the preparation of gel stains for protein gel electrophoresis. Studies on microbial pili suggest that sodium acetate suppressed K99 production in|E. coli|strains cultured on a minimal medium. Experiments have shown that when added to food waste composting systems, NaOAc may be effective at counteracting the adverse effects of organic acids produced in the composting process.|Additional forms available:|Sodium Acetate, Anhydrous (sc-202340)|Sodium acetate trihydrate (sc-203270)|Sodium acetate buffer solution (sc-296389)
Sodium Acetate, 1M is prepared with high-quality reagents and 0.2 μm filtered; however it has not been evaluated for use in cell culture. Please employ appropriate sterilization techniques for the intended application.
Sodium Acetate, 1Mis non-sterile; 0.2 µm filtered NaOAc solution for use in a variety of applications; for example, protein gel stain prep.
