Tetracycline (TC) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that exhibits activity against a wide range of microorganisms including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, chlamydiae, mycoplasmas, rickettsiae, and protozoan parasites. Tetracycline-induced CK2 expression significantly increases the non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) invasion in cells expressing BRMS1 wild-type, but not the S30A mutant.
Applications:
Tetracycline is a compound that has been shown to induce apoptosis in various cells. Tetracycline was a useful compound to study drug resistance of pathogens of infections in patients with severe liver disease.
