Product Description

MeCpPtMe3 is a commonly used organometallic precursor for platinum.
MeCpPtMe3 was used for the deposition of ultrathin metallic layers of platinum by electron beam induced deposition, atomic sputtering.These deposits find application in microelectronics, catalysis, photonics and chemical sensing.


Application

MeCpPtMe3 is a homogeneous catalyst useful for hydrosilylation reactions.

Applications & references

Platinum nanoparticles are formed by gas phase loading of the volatile platinum compounds on metal-organic frameworks and by subsequent reduction with 100 bar hydrogen. For instance, the Pt component shows high catalytic activity in solvent-free and base-free oxidation of alcohols in air at room temperature.
