Product Description

Aladdin's UltraBio™ Green Fluorescent DNA Ladder (0.1-10kb, 21 bands, Bromophenol Blue) is supplied in a ready-to-use format containing NA-Green (Nucleic Acid Green) fluorescent stain and bromophenol blue tracking dye. It consists of 21 DNA fragments ranging from 100bp to 10kb and can meet the molecular weight reference needs for most regular DNA electrophoresis analysis. This prestained product is optimized for direct loading into unstained agarose gels and is recommended for use as a molecular weight reference for DNA samples loaded by UltraBio™ Green Fluorescent DNA Loading Buffers .The fluorescence intensity of 500bp, 1000bp, and 3000bp fragments is higher than others, making the ladder bands easier to be differentiated. The content of each ladder fragment is shown on the right side of the Figure, allowing the estimation of both size and concentration of DNA fragments on agarose gels. This product uses bromophenol blue as an indicator for easy visual tracking of DNA migration during electrophoresis. The green fluorescence of this product is detected using blue light at a wavelength of about 500nm or UV light at 260nm. Gel Imager used for SYBR Green or SYBR Gold can be used directly for the observation of this product.Loading 5μl of DNA Ladder per lane is sufficient to visualize all fragments of the ladder.

Precautions

This product should be kept in the dark. Exposure to regular indoor light during the electrophoresis does not change its performance.Freshly prepared agarose gel and electrophoresis buffer are recommended to obtain the best separation result. When smear or unsatisfactory band separation is observed, the following methods can be attempted: use freshly prepared electrophoresis buffer; reduce the loading amount of DNA; reduce the agarose concentration; use a longer gel; decrease the voltage for electrophoresis and extend the time of electrophoresis to improve DNA separation, etc. This product is compatible with commonly used electrophoresis buffers, such as TAE and TBE.This product is for R&D only. Not for drug, household, or other uses. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during the operation.

Instructions for Use

1. Prepare agarose gel with an appropriate concentration. Do not add any dye to the gel.2. Mix the DNA Ladder well before use. Load 5μl of DNA Ladder per lane onto the agarose gel for electrophoresis. Note: When Bromophenol blue interferes with the observation of target DNA fragments, please use Green Fluorescent DNA Ladder (0.1-10kb, 21 bands, Red).3. After electrophoresis, use a Gel Imager System for observation or taking photos.
