Product Description

Aladdin's UltraBio™ SDS-PAGE Precast Gel is a high-quality, ready-to-use gel that can be routinely used for SDS-PAGE and Western analysis. This product separates proteins similarly to the Laemmli system using the most conventional Tris-Glycine electrophoresis buffer system. Protein bands are clear, fine and sharp after electrophoresis.

Aladdin provides a variety of UltraBio™ SDS-PAGE precast gradient/fixed gels at different concentrations. Gradient gels are available in concentrations of 4-12%, 4-20% and 8-16%. Fixed gels include 6%, 8%, 10%, 12% and 15% gels. The gradient gels of 4-20% are most commonly used. Please refer to the table below for parameters of UltraBio™ SDS-PAGE precast gels.

This precast gel contains 4% stacking gel of 0.5cm in height. The ratio of acrylamide to bisacrylamide is 29:1. The thickness of the gel is 1mm and the number of sample loading wells is 12, with a maximum loading volume of 30μl per well. The size of the gel plate, 100 × 92 × 4.7mm (width × height × thickness); the size of the gel, 86 × 70 × 1mm (width × height × thickness).

Unlike conventional Tris-Glycine gels, BeyoGel™ SDS-PAGE Precast Gels are prepared with a neutral pH buffer without SDS and can be used for both denaturing and native PAGE. The conventional SDS-PAGE analysis can be performed by using this product in conjunction with SDS-containing electrophoresis buffers.

This product is safe and easy to use. It does not need gel preparation and casting, thus avoiding contact with toxic and irritating reagents.

The quality of this product is stable, with high consistency between batches.

This product has good protein resolution performance. Protein bands are clear and sharp. Proteins in the gel can be transferred efficiently.

This product has good compatibility with most mini electrophoresis tanks.

Precautions:

The electrophoresis buffer and transfer buffer should be freshly prepared. Low-quality buffers, recycled buffers, or buffers that have been kept for too long will result in poor protein resolution. 

The orange tape at the bottom of the gel plate must be removed before electrophoresis.
