WellChampion is a new generation dual-purpose reagent that is a simultaneous microwell plate blocker and stabilizer. Stabilizes and preserves microwell plates coated with protein or other biomolecules. Preserves and protects biological activity of bound biomolecules and prevents degradation, denaturation and leaching. Blocks any free binding sites on the microwell surface without creating any interference. Eliminates intermediate washing steps, which reduces water waste and speeding up the production process. Eradicates the possibility of any biological material drying up in the well.
Composition & Properties WellChampion is a ready-to-use, weakly opaque solution containing proprietary stabilizing components. WellChampion is BSA-free and does not contain azide, mercury, or other toxic components. The risk of unspecific binding to antibodies is very low
Working Procedure
1.Adsorb the primary protein or other biomolecules to the surface of the microwell according to traditional procedures (typically, wells are coatedwith 100 µl of the biomolecule in a fresh carbonate or phosphate buffer). DO NOT EMPTY OR WASH THE PLATE AFTER THE COATING STEP. 2.Dispense WellChampion into each well making sure wells are filled nearly to the top. When using automatic equipment adjust the pump speed to ensure maximum mixing of the reagents. 3.The optimal incubation time should be determined for the relevant assay. It is recommended to incubate the plates for at least 15 minutes at room temperature on a plate shaker. 4.Empty the plate by inversion or aspiration. DO NOT WASH. 5.Dry the plate for long-term storage by one of the recommended methods: • Dry the plate at room temperature overnight. Do not cover the plate. • Dry for 3 hours at 37 °C. Do not cover the plate. 6.Immediately after drying, pack the stabilized microwell plate in an airtight and moisture proof container or a bag with a desiccant. 7.In order to gain maximum sensitivity, it is recommended to prewash stabilized plates prior to use.
Tips & Tricks • An incubation period shorter than 10-15 min is often completely sufficient. • For the best possible background, a washing buffer containing Tween is recommended. • Ensure plates are selected according to the hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties of the biomolecules.
Handling & Storage • Store solution at 2-8 °C. |
