Product Description | Avermectin B1a is a macrocyclic lactone that makes up a large component of the anthelimintic Abamectin used to control parasitic nematodes in livestock. Avermectin B1a also acts as an insecticide and acaricide. The avermectins are used commercially as antiparasitic agents in animal health, agriculture and human infections. Research shows that it can activate and inhibit GABA|A|Rα1 (gamma-aminobutyric acidA) receptor function in mammalian brain. |
