Protein Function
Functions as an endocytic receptor on a small subset of myeloid cells specialized for the uptake and processing of material from dead cells. Recognizes filamentous form of actin in association with particular actin-binding domains of cytoskeletal proteins, including spectrin, exposed when cell membranes are damaged, and mediate the cross-presentation of dead-cell associated antigens in a Syk-dependent manner.

Images

CLEC9A/CD370 Rat mAb (Ab096837) - Flow Cytometry
Multicolor flow cytometric analysis of CLEC9A/CD370 expression on live mouse splenocytes. C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes were stained with CD11c Armenian Hamster mAb (APC) (Ab178872), CD8 alpha Rat mAb (FITC) (Ab190208) and either Rat IgG Isotype Control Antibody (Biotin) (Ab180310; Left panel) or CLEC9A/CD370 Rat mAb (Ab096837; Right panel) at 1.0 μg/mL. A bivariate pseudocolor density plot showing the correlated expression of CLEC9A/CD370 expression (or Isotype control staining) was derived from CD8+ gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of viable splenocytes.
