Methimepip dihydrobromide extremely selective histamine H3 receptor agonist [pKi values are 9.0, 5.7, < 5.0 and < 5.0 for Histamine H3 (hH3), Histamine H4 (hH4), Histamine H1(hH1) and Histamine H2(hH2) receptors respectively]. Potently inhibits EFS-evoked contractions of guinea pig ileum (pD2 = 8.26).
