Product Description

Rabbit anti Human Bax Antibody, Recombinant (RR647), could be used for WB, IHC, Flow, IP and so on.
Application:
WB: 1/1000 – 1/2500
IHC: 1/1600-1/3200
Flow: 1/100-1/400
IP: 1/25
Protein Function
Accelerates programmed cell death by binding to, and antagonizing the apoptosis repressor BCL2 or its adenovirus homolog E1B 19k protein. Under stress conditions, undergoes a conformation change that causes translocation to the mitochondrion membrane, leading to the release of cytochrome c that then triggers apoptosis. Promotes activation of CASP3, and thereby apoptosis.

Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) - IHC
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human ovarian cancer tissue labelling Bax with Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) at 1/1600. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed using Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0.

Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) - Flow Cytometry
Overlay histogram showing HeLa cells stained with Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) (Red). The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde (10 min) and then permeabilized with 0.1% TritonX-100 for 15 min. The cells were then incubated in the Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) (1/400 dilution) in 1x PBS/1% BSA for 30 min at room temperature. The secondary antibody was used a Goat Anti-Rabbit Alexa Fluor® 488 (IgG H+L) at 1/2000 dilution for 20 min at room temperature. Unlabeled sample (Black) was used as a control.

Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) - IP
Bax was immunoprecipitated from 0.5 mg HT-29 whole cell lysate with Recombinant Bax Antibody (Ab090652) at 1/25 dilution.
